Batachá

With a name that tellingly fuses the African “bata” drum and the rhythmic mojo that is the traditional “cha-cha,” the Sonoma County-based band Batacha serves a spicy concoction along the lines of Afro-Latin-jazz, with a tinge of blues in the mix. The band features keyboardist Joel Bennett, bassist Sebastian Link, Hal Forman on trumpet, and Puerto Rican-born Joel Aviles taking the spotlight as conguero and lead vocalist. Experience his roots in the true Caribbean feeling, complemented by a jazz and blues touch. The band cooks up a roiling, energetic musical sound, inspiring dancing feet along the way.

Partake by K-J, “A Wine and Food Pairing Experience,” is Kendall-Jackson’s dining and tasting room in the center of Healdsburg. Here you can explore a wide range of wine flights to satisfy your curiosity and thirst. They offer a selection of seasonal bites driven by local gardens and Sonoma County’s culinary artisans.

For this evening’s plates, Partake will be serving Arancini (stuffed rice balls coated with bread crumbs and fried), Tempura Maitake Mushrooms, and Paella from Chef de cuisine Calvin Moran.
