Bay Area pianist Ben Stolorow, an accomplished and classically-trained jazz player who has released the albums I’ll Be Over Here and Almost There, has been a regular performer with top flight musicians in the region, including Craig Handy, Akira Tana and Dayna Stephens. Andy Gilbert from the SF Chronicle has put it, “Whether playing his shapely originals, investigating standards or bearing down on modern jazz classics, he interprets every piece with poise and purpose.”

Ben has studied with Fred Hersch, Stanley Cowell and James Williams and is also on the faculty of the Jazzschool in Berkeley. He brings an outstanding quartet to this pre-Raven concert food-and-wine pairing, including Bob Kenmotsu on tenor sax, Peter Barshay on bass and Ron Marabuto on drums.

Partake by K-J, “A Wine and Food Pairing Experience,” is Kendall-Jackson’s dining and tasting room near the center of Healdsburg. Here you can explore a wide range of wine flights to satisfy your curiosity and thirst. They offer a selection of seasonal bites driven by local gardens and Sonoma County’s culinary artisans.

For this evening’s plates, Partake will be serving Arancini (stuffed rice balls coated with bread crumbs and fried), Tempura Maitake Mushrooms, and Lamb Sliders from chef de cuisine Calvin Moran.
