A great friend of the Healdsburg Jazz Festival, saxophone sage Charles Lloyd returns on June 8 in collaboration with tabla legend Zakir Hussain and dancer Antonia Minnecola to present a free interactive workshop geared for youth, called “Common Ground.”
A Family Event – Parents, bring as many students as you want to spend time with jazz great Charles Lloyd on saxophone and legendary tabla player Zakir Hussain, Sunday morning June 8th at the Raven Theater in Healdsburg. They will be joined by dancer Antonia Mennecola in what will be unique opportunity to be up close and personal with musicians of this caliber who have offered to share their love of music with the youth of our community.

This event is FREE to students in grades K-12, but must be reserved in advance by calling 707 433-4644 (business hours Mon.-Fri., 11 am – 4 pm). Adults must bring at least one student. Seats are limited and must be reserved by phone order with a credit card. (Cancellations or changes accepted until June 4.) Reservations not used, will be charged $10 per seat.
