Jazz Photography Exhibit
May 24 – June 29

When: May 24 – June 29
Where: Flying Goat Coffee, 324 Center St.
Hours: Daily 7 am – 7 pm

Local photographer George Wells has been documenting the annual Healdsburg Jazz Festival almost since its inception. We’ve convinced him to create a gallery exhibit of Festival images, “Where It All Began,” documenting 20 years of jazz in Healdsburg. The photographs will be on display for six weeks, starting Thursday, May 24 and closing on Friday, June 29.

Opening Reception:
Ricardo Peixoto Quartet

When: Sunday, May 27
Time: 7 – 9 pm

The first concert produced in Healdsburg by artistic director Jessica Felix was pianist George Cables, solo at the original Flying Goat in Healdsburg. Maura and Phil helped make it happen, and that planted the seed for a jazz festival in Healdsburg. So it’s fitting we kick off the 20th anniversary festival where it all began, at “the Goat.”

Meet photographer George Wells and enjoy perspective on 20 years of jazz in Healdsburg. The Ricardo Peixoto Quartet will perform during the opening reception, with Peixoto on guitar, Marcos Silva on piano, Scott Thompson on bass and Dillon Vado on drums. No cover, 7 – 9 p.m.
