Frequently Asked Questions
- Where are the concerts?
- Where do I park?
- Can I buy food and drink at the shows?
Questions about the Festival are common, yet the answers rarely change year-to-year. We’ll update the FAQ for 2010 soon, but until we do you’ll find last year’s information valuable anyway.
The answers to these and other frequently asked questions can be found on the handy FAQ sheet you can download here. It’s a PDF file, sized for printing. (You may need to download the PDF reader to view this document.)
If you have questions not covered, please use the Comments feature (at the bottom of this web page). Perhaps someone else in our jazz community had an answer to your question.

I am interested in going to the Latin music show in Sunday at Recreation Park.
I need to know about the seating – do we sit on the grass, seats etc.
I also need to know if there are trees for shade or is it all an open space.
Thanks very much.

It is a big open field, and you are welcome to bring low lawn chairs. Regular lawn chairs can be brought too, but we ask that you sit towards the back so as to not block the view of those behind you sitting on the grass or in lower chairs. There is very little shade, so we strongly recommend applying sunblock, bringing extra, and wearing hats. Any umbrellas will have to be in the very back. The late afternoon might be cool, too, so bring a light jacket or sweater. The weather is forecasted to be in the upper 70’s with sun after early morning clouds. We look forward to seeing you there!

Was just wondering if there’s a preliminary schedule for the 2010 Jazz festival. I have friends from out of town wanting to make plans!
Thanks
