Entertainment will be a highlight of the afternoon. From 4:30 on, the David Udolf Quartet plays al fresco, with Lorca Hart on drums and Jeff Chambers on bass. From 5:30 on, the supremely soulful Oakland-based jazz vocalist Kenny Washington takes the stage.
A native of New Orleans, Washington grew up singing gospel before moving on to classical, rhythm & blues and pop. After almost a decade with the US Navy Band, Washington moved to San Francisco, where he was featured vocalist at the Top of the Mark for 8 years. Be ready for a memorable and passionate performance.

The dinner, prepared by Nancy Oakes with the assistance of chef Franco Dunn, is served at 6:15, and includes a mouth-watering array of plates plus wines from many of our sponsors. Click the graphic to the left to see the menu.
The evening is a benefit for the Healdsburg Jazz Festival and its Jazz Education programs, so a portion of the $500 is tax-deductible. HJF offers a variety of Jazz Education programs in area schools, including artist visits to classrooms, clinics for aspiring student musicians, and jazz appreciation classes for both student and adults— providing relevance to the history and evolution of this uniquely American musical genre.
Space is limited. If you have questions, please contact our offices for more information by email of calling 707-433-4644
