That said, the band Samba da Raiz will be playing on the "samba stage" when the doors open at noon, and break when the first act starts on the main stage. Bossa Nova signing star Leny Andrade will be the first performer on the main stage, followed at about 3 by Trio da Paz. Expect Tonino Horta's group, with special guest Airto, to swing into action around 5. I'll be there for the full show, with hat, concert chair and sunscreen, and urge you to do the same!
