What: A Film About Charles Lloyd
Where: Raven Performing Arts Theater, 115 North St.
When: 11 am | Tickets: $10
By the age of 28, Charles Lloyd was one of the most influential jazz musicians of the 1960s, his album “Forest Flower” a breakthough for jazz into the mainstream. But by his early 30s he vanished from public view. For over a decade he lived in the wild seclusion of Big Sur.
The documentary film Arrows Into Infinity follows the rise, retreat, and return of the charismatic Lloyd and his spiritual quest through sound.
After the film there will be a question and answer session with co-directors and co-producers Dorothy Darr and Jeffery Morse, as well as Charles Lloyd and Jason Moran.
